Dalmatian gives birth to spotty litter of 15 pups

WITH all these little mouths to feed, it is no wonder dalmatian Pebbles is tired.

The two-and-half-year-old surprised everyone when she gave birth to 15 puppies - more than twice the average litter for her breed.

Owner Kay Sullivan said: “We had to care for them for two days because Pebbles was not very well. She was very weak because they had taken all the energy out of her."

“We had to care for them and feed them for the first couple of days. One puppy in particular we thought it wasn’t going to make it."

Surprised Kay, 45, who lives with husband Neil and their four children in Garnant, Carmarthenshire, said that the large litter had drawn parallels with the famous children’s story 101 Dalmatians.
“It’s the same number of puppies which they start with in the film, before they get stolen” she said. And at at a value of 450 each, the family believe it could be the most precious litter.

“One puppy is already sold to someone in Italy through a Facebook friend, but to be honest I will miss them when they go” she added.
