The 14′ x 6′ mosaic consists of 12,000 colored pencils, arranged in patterns that appear to be reaching out towards the viewer. To create the piece, the designers sectioned the installation off into parts, and meticulously organized the colors based off of a detailed plan. The pixelated rainbow uses 25 unique colors, arranged by plugging the tips into a 1x1 grid, which evolve from black on the edges to white near the center of the piece.
